Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the UFC's flyweight division. She is the younger sister of fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko is an experienced Muay Thai Kickboxer began her professional fight career during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko took the title with a unanimous victory over Suzane Miller. Antonina Shevchenko won an additional medal in the year 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, a gold in 2011, and then was named as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia started her professional career in 2003. She took home the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas, in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko started the professional phase of her MMA profession in the year 2002, with a win over Anara Baanova in the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She won by TKO in the second round and then won her two subsequent bouts in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. It gave her a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko was absent from MMA so that she could focus on the sport of kickboxing. She made her comeback against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by a unanimous decision. She joined the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina utilized her striking abilities to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed in the wake of this win. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC at The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win via unanimous decision but lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina bounced back from losing to knock out Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night in this fight. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her subsequent three bouts. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
