Vinita Nair

In July 2004 Nair joined ABC News covering a number of news stories, including the investigation into the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair became a part of ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. As part of her role as a correspondent delivered live reports and briefings to ABC's networks. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now, America This Morning, and ABC's digital networks until September 17th in 2008 to February 18, the 18th of February. For both of the shows, Nair was partnered initially by Jeremy Hubbard. Later she was paired with Rob Nelson. Nair announced to the viewers of World News Now that she would not be appearing in World News Now after Friday 18th of February 2011. It would also be her final day on ABC News. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver became her replacement immediately. World News Now, February 18 included three tributes to Nair. Both former and current colleagues were featured in the segments.
