Following his school days, Lars joined the military services in which he completed his basic military service for nine months with Kongelige Livgarde (Royal Guards), an infantry regiment of the Danish army. He didn't feel the military work was suitable for him so he began to look for a different option and then decided to study biology. Anette returned from a juggler's course and showed Lars how many she could juggle in three days, despite the fact that the juggler was already busy for half of a year. Lars was ecstatic about it and was determined to try it the same way. He dropped out of the college and enrolled in juggling schools. There he learnt fire breathing and juggling, in addition to other things. After that, he traveled with two friends as traveling artists across Europe performing in cities like Paris, Munich, Moscow and Warsaw. He was introduced to the children's circus two years later. There he also learned street and children's theater pantomime.
